  PRUDENTIAL FAMILY & FRIENDS TREE-RIFIC CONTEST

Terms & Conditions
 
   
 
This campaign ("Campaign") is carried out by Prudential Assurance Malaysia Berhad ("Prudential"). Prudential is also the administrator for the campaign. By registering to take part in this Campaign, the person doing so shall be taken to have fully and unconditionally agreed to be bound by the terms and conditions stated hereinafter:
1. Eligibility:
  No purchase or payment is required to participate in this Campaign. The Campaign is open to all registered participants at www.prudential.com.my/prudentialfamily ("Participant") other than the employees of Prudential and their immediate families, Prudential's associated agencies (Quality Leaders/Agents and Wealth Managers/Planners), and their immediate families. The Participant has to be an individual who is a legal resident of Malaysia and is at the date of entry 18 years of age or older.
2. Campaign Period:
  This Campaign is valid from 3 May 2011 until 30 June 2011. Entries received after the stipulated time will be ineligible to participate in the said Campaign.
3. Method of Entry:
  Step 1: Register online
  To register as a Participant, simply complete and submit the Campaign registration form found at www.prudential.com.my/prudentialfamily. In the registration form, each Participant is required to name their own family tree, with the option of uploading a photograph that is not more than 100kb.
  Step 2: Recruit/add members
  In order to stand a chance to win, each Participant must invite family and friends to join the Participant’s family tree. The Participant can send an email invite by keying in his/her family and friends’ names and email addresses through the contest website. Once the Participant’s family and friends register online, they will automatically be part of the Participant’s family tree.

Each Participant is only be eligible for one Prize. Each Participant is only allowed to create one family tree, however, a Participant may also join other family trees as a member to help their family/friends win. Prudential shall not accept any repeated entries (create more than one family tree) for this Campaign from the same Participant. All entries become the property of Prudential and all the information contained therein may be used for marketing purposes by Prudential.
4. Prizes and Selection of Winner:
  The top 12 Participants with the most number of members in his/her family tree will be selected as the winners at the end of the Campaign. There will be a total of RM 15,000 in cash to be won. Below is the breakdown of the prizes:

Grand Prize x 1: RM5,000
2nd Prize x 1: RM3,000
3rd Prizes x 4: RM1,000
Consolation Prizes x 6: RM500

In the event there is a tie between more than one Participants for any of the prizes, the Participant with the earlier entry submission time of the last added member to his/her family tree will be picked over the other Participant(s) in the tie.

Prizes are not exchangeable for items in kind, and are not transferable. Prudential reserves the right to change the prize(s) at its discretion to other prize(s) of similar or lesser value without any prior notice. The prizes are exclusive of all charges that may be incurred by the winner (if any), such as taxes, levies, fees. The prizes are subject to any other terms and conditions as may be imposed by Prudential from time to time. Prudential's decision in this matter shall be final and no correspondence shall be entertained.
5. Notification:
  All winners will be notified via email/telephone call at the email address/phone number as provided in the online form. Prudential shall have the right to publish the name and NRIC number of the winners in any of Prudential's Websites, the newspapers and/or in its promotional materials. Participants are personally responsible for ensuring that their personal particulars, contact details and email address have been accurately submitted when filling in the entry form. Prudential shall not be held responsible or liable for any late, misdirected, lost or unsuccessful efforts to notify winners.

Where any prize has been forfeited, Prudential may, at its sole discretion, give the forfeited prize to another Participant(s) from the remaining eligible entries. In such an instance, this other Participant(s) shall be selected using a method to be determined by Prudential at its sole discretion.
6. Prize Collection:
  Upon successful verification by Prudential, winners must each collect their prizes from the Prudential Head Office at:

Prudential expressly disclaims any and all liabilities arising from any lost, damaged or unsuccessful transmission of the prizes. All winners hereby agree to the use of their names, nicknames, photographs, voice or video recordings, and other information obtained from them for the purpose of publicity, advertising, trade or promotion in any media by Prudential without any prior consent or compensation. Prizes that remain unclaimed for one (1) month shall be forfeited by Prudential.

In the event Prudential has a prize giving ceremony, each selected Participant is required to attend at his/her own cost and expense to collect the prize. In the event the said Participant is not able to attend the prize giving ceremony, the said Participant must nominate a representative to be present at the prize giving ceremony to accept the prize on his/her behalf, failing which the prize shall be forfeited by Prudential.

Prudential reserves the right to request for written proof of residency and of the age of any Campaign winner before the prize is dispatched or collected. Prudential shall also have the right to require the Campaign winner of any prize to execute a deed of release and indemnity in a form prescribed by Prudential in order to receive the prize.
7. Disclaimers:
  By entering the Campaign, each Participant agrees that Prudential, its respective employees, officers, directors, agents, affiliates, parent, subsidiaries and representatives ("Campaign Sponsors") shall not be liable or responsible for damages, losses, injuries, rights, claims or actions of any kind in connection with the Campaign, or resulting from acceptance, possession, use/misuse of prizes, or participation in the Campaign, including without limitation, personal injury, death, property damage and claims based on publicity rights, defamation or invasion of privacy. Each Participant further agrees that the Campaign Sponsors will not be responsible or liable for any entries that are late (including delayed data transmissions), tampered with, garbled, incomplete, misdirected, lost, mutilated, delayed, corrupted, duplicated or otherwise not in compliance with these Terms and Conditions.

Campaign Sponsors are not and will not be responsible or liable for any injury or damage to the Participant's or to any other person's computer relating to or resulting from entering or downloading materials in connection with this Campaign. Campaign Sponsors are not responsible for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission due to technical, hardware, software or telephone malfunctions of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, communications line failure, server failure, or failed, incorrect, incomplete, inaccurate, garbled, or delayed electronic communications caused by the Participant or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilised in this Campaign or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Website, or by any human error which may occur in the processing of the entries in this Campaign, or any combination thereof.
8. Submission of Unlawful Material:
  Individuals or Participants should not submit any Unlawful Material in the course of participating in the Campaign, or use the Campaign to upload, post, email, transmit or otherwise make available such Unlawful Material. "Unlawful Material" shall include (but not be limited to) any sexually explicit material or any material that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortuous, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libellous, invasive of another's privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically, or otherwise objectionable or infringes any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright or other proprietary rights of another. Prudential reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any such individual or Participant, and to bar the individual or Participant from participating in any other contest or promotions, permanently or for such period of time as Prudential shall decide. Prudential's decision in this matter shall be final and no correspondence shall be entertained.
9. Disqualification:
  Prudential reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual that it determines to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Campaign or Prudential's Website, to be acting in breach or potential breach of these Terms and Conditions. Prudential's decision in this matter shall be final and no correspondence shall be entertained. Prudential further reserves the right to cancel, modify, suspend or delay the Campaign for any reason whatsoever.
10. General Terms and Conditions:
  The laws of Malaysia shall govern this Campaign. This Campaign is void where prohibited or restricted by any local, national, state, or any governmental laws. This Campaign is also subject to these Terms and Conditions.

Prudential reserves the right to change the qualifying/selection criteria and allocation of prizes from time to time at Prudential's absolute discretion. Prudential also reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions, and to suspend, terminate or vary the Campaign with or without notice to the Participants. The mode of notification (if any) of suspension, termination or variation shall be at Prudential's sole discretion, including but not limited to displaying the same in any of Prudential's Website.

Prudential's decision on any and/or all matters relating to the Campaign including the selection of the names of the winners, the terms and conditions herein or any amendments to the same shall be final, binding and conclusive and no correspondence will be entertained.
